Meet the Team

  • Dr Arjun Srivathsa

    PROJECT LEADER

Arjun is a DST INSPIRE Fellow at the National Centre for Biological Sciences–TIFR, Bengaluru and Affiliate Scientist at Wildlife Conservation Society–India. He works on the conservation ecology of dholes and other carnivores.

  • Pooja Saravanan

    RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Pooja's research interests include small carnivore ecology, human–wildlife interactions, and conservation education. Her work at NCBS–TIFR focuses on understanding dhole populations in the Western Ghats and exploring outreach activities to bridge knowledge gaps about the species.

  • Mayank Shukla

    RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Mayank is associated with The Dhole Project at NCBS–TIFR. His work involves examining dhole population dynamics and dhole–human interactions in Kerala.

  • Avantika Deep Sharma

    RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

With a broad interest in behavioural ecology, Avantika earned her master’s degree in Wildlife Biology and Conservation from NCBS (2020–2022). Her current role with The Dhole Project focuses on examining dhole social behavior using interdisciplinary approaches.

  • Anshita Das

    RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Anshita is affiliated with The Dhole Project at Wildlife Conservation Society–India. Her current research is centred on two key areas: social media perceptions of dholes, and the role of human food subsidies on dhole packs in human-dominated areas.

  • Abraham Pious

    RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Abraham works with The Dhole Project at Wildlife Conservation Society–India. His research deals with the spatial and feeding ecology of dholes in a human-dominated agroforest landscape. He is intrigued by the mechanisms and adaptations that enable these elusive predators to coexist closely with human populations.

  • Midhun Mohan

    RESEARCH ASSISTANT

After his BS-MS from IISER TVM, Midhun joined The Dhole Project at NCBS–TIFR to understand the distribution of dholes and the accompanying ecological challenges in Kerala.

  • Thasmai H S

    RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Thasmai is associated with Wildlife Conservation Society- India. Her interest lies in carnivore ecology, particularly canid species. Additionally, she is interested in human-wildlife interactions, and wildlife law enforcement.

  • Sabiya Sheikh

    PROJECT AFFILIATE

Sabiya’s work focuses on studying the behavioural ecology of dholes in human-dominated agroforest plantations in the Western Ghats.

  • Divyajyoti Ganguly

    PROJECT AFFILIATE

Divyajyoti has interests in understanding species interactions and population dynamics in carnivorans. With The Dhole Project he is involved with understanding dhole populations through a genomics lens. He has a Masters in Wildlife Biology and Conservation from NCBS (2020–2022).
